Some people think that if you do things such as a 'blog', makes you really confident and you find it easy to talk about you life and your intrests.
I can understand why, it's probably due to the fact that blogging/vlogging provides a lot of detail about ones life and stuff.
But in reality my life is not as it seems through my blog posts.
Now, when I was little, I was so confident and I would do things, like enter school talent shows and ask for things for people in shops, but since the age of about 13, I have had a little anxiety, mostly social anxiety which has stopped me from doing even the simplest of tasks. Such as; going into a shop by myself, knocking on a door to deliver cards etc, and even answering the phone. But also, bigger things such as not going out, or thinking independently. This is very hard as it makes me feel pressurised at times into doing things which are out of my comfort zone and thy I don't want to do.
So, now that we're a month into the new year, and I'm a year older, I have finally decided I'm going to try my very best to get away from the anxiety, even though it will take time and lots of hard moments...
But here's what I've began to do, and hat I think will help me step by step, maybe you could take this as advice and maybe it will guide you too!
• A step at a time, by this I mean, don't let people push me into asking for something in a shop or whatever, but doing it when I am ready myself and I feel like I can do it.
• Finding ways of making yourself more confident, and also by this I mean.. Find something your interested in and focus on planning etc, I did this through my blogging page.
• This one is slightly harder, as you need to start volunteering within clubs, school etc. This helps you build up confidence and helps your become more independent.
• And finally, say yes to those opportunities which will help you progress in the future and don't hold back when it comes to doing things independently!
•Live by my motto; use your mind and beat the whole world
