My hair routine.

Friday, 25 April 2014

So, I've chopped my hair, all the length and Ombre has gone!, now I know what your all saying, ''WHY?''. But, I wanted a change and to be quite honest most of my ends were pretty dead, and well I just thought that I needed to go back to the beginning. Now that I have less hair, and it's all natural, in terms of color etc I've decided that I'm going to really look after it, so here is my Hair Routine.

I start off by washing it with Naked - Shine Unveiled Hydrating Shampoo, Which has a beautiful scent to it, and it also leaves your hair feeling very hydrated and gives you an amazing shine. Along side the shampoo, I use Naked - Shine Unveiled Hydrating Conditioner. Again, This does exactly what is says on the bottle.  Now, normally my hair goes a little frizzy after washing but after using this, It tends to stay sleek and smooth. I am new to this 'naked' range, But I saw Niomi Smart, From Lady Smart, talk about this in her favorites so I picked it up and I totally recommend y'all getting it!

After I have washed my hair and towel dried it, I spray the  LOreal Paris - Studio Line Txt Wave Creating Spray, onto my hair just to add extra wave and this also protects against heat damage. The style I wanted my hair is similar it Alix Coburn's, from the blog 'ICOVETTHEE'. So keeping a wave in it is essential. Then, once the spray is in, I blow dry my hair using Mark Hill - Salon Professional Hair Dryer. This is extremely good for adding volume and really getting a smooth look. Then I separate my hair into sections, and use the Cloud Nine Original Straightening Irons, I used to use the GHD straighteners, but I believe that Cloud nine's are alot better quality and last longer. I don't tend to fully straighten, I twist the irons, to form a beachy wave effect.

After this step, and to finish the look, I use Toni&Guy - Sea Salt Spray. Just to add a little more volume and texture.

And there you have it, my complete hair routine! I hope you've enjoyed reading this post, and also go check out each of the products I've used!

Oh, Here's a picture of my hair before, and after the chop!

Meeting The Vamps!

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

Hi everybody, I have some very exciting things to tell you about today. The title of this post may give it away but anyway... I MET 2/4 OF THE FREAKING VAMPS! Now, this may seem a small thing to alot of you, but I can't even explain how much it means to me.
I've seen every video, since the beginning. Even when It was just Brad and James doing their covers on you tube, After I've  heard every song in which these boys have done, to finally get to meet them is pretty insane.

It all happened  today, on Wednesday, 16th April in my hometown of Sheffield. I was actually quite surprised at the fact that they were doing a signing in Sheffield, as normally nothing like this happens.
But me and two friends went down to the HMV, at 6 in the morning, and waited around outside the store for a few hours and we were finally let in to get our wristbands so that we were guaranteed a chance to meet both James and Tristan.

When we had our wristbands we had to go for a wonder just so that we could queue again at 10 to be let in to meet them. I was all abit stressful but I think that was just the excitement.

So, finally, IT WAS TIME! We were let in and taken up onto the second floor of the store. Then all at once the lift door opened, and there they were. Poor James was limping because of his foot, but they both sat down on the chairs and started signing away.

As I walked forward, It was so surreal. I couldn't believe that I was actually going to meet them. I met James first and he is so lovely, He said ''Hi, how are you?'', I didn't know what say, so I just handed him the letter I wrote and said hi. Then he thanked me for it, and I moved on to Tristan..   He said ''Hi, how are you?'' and I said I'm fine thanks, then once he'd finished signing my album, I asked him for a high five, which was cool, and when I was walking away, he said ''Thanks for coming to see us.''

As they had to be at another signing, we weren't allowed to have photos with them due to time etc, but I managed to get some of them. Also, we only had like a minute with them, but it was still worth it.

So yeah! Today, I met the Vamps. I realize that not everyone is a fan, and that some of you may find this 'over the top'. But I can't explain how much this means, having watched the boys from the start, and seeing how far they have come and what they achieved, It makes you feel so proud to be a fan.

I'm going to leave you with some of the photo's I took, some may be blurry but oh well. Hope you've enjoyed this post and please feel free to comment and like and also follow my twitter @_megfranciss.

A trip to the coast!

Friday, 11 April 2014

Hey guys! I'm extremely sorry for not posting, even after I said I wouldn't miss a week. But, I have been super busy as I've had 4 mock exams this week so you can understand my stress!

Anyway, On Wednesday, I went on a trip to the coast with school, for my geography coursework. It was a beautiful day for the sea side, and to be honest it was quite interesting.
As this was for 25% of our GCSE, There was alot of information to take in, and write down. At times it was a tad boring, but mainly it was a laugh and we all had a great time.

We went to the Holderness Coast, visiting Flamborough head, Ulrome and Hornsea along the way. We studied things like the erosion, and the types of rock which made up the surrounding cliffs. Also, we looked at the defenses put in place to help stop longshore drift from occurring

We had to take photos and draw out field sketches, which I have to say were the worst drawings I've ever done.
Anyway, here's a few snaps to feast your eyes on. Also, there's a little photo of all the girls on the way there!

Well there you have it! That was a little tale of a trip to the coast! I will try to post more during the easter holidays, and yeah!
