It is pretty crazy when you look at how far they've come. From the garage covers in like 2012, to the sheffield city hall in 2014. What an amazing achievement, and being a fan from the very very beginning I am extremely proud of them. I can't actually describe how good the whole night was, there is literally no words.
So, after a pretty boring day at school, it was safe to say, my excitement levels, were almost full to bursting. I went straight home and quickly did my usual 'Special Occasion' makeup routine, and obviously got changed into more suitable clothes than my school attire. And set off to town!
As we pulled up, it was clear that the tour bus was there, and loads of people where stood around waiting to catch a glimpse of them. But we decided to grab some food and just wait in the queue to get let in. But then the most serial thing happened. You see in the Town center, there's like a big walkway called chapel walk, and we were just walking down and then in the corner of my eye I saw a tan Fedora. I didn't notice at first so I looked again I then I practically hit my friend and shout 'OH MY GOD, ITS BRAD AND JAMES'. We all just looked at each other in complete shock, and didn't even move over there to meet them, which is pretty annoying. Just casually walked past Brad Simpson and James Mcvey. I mean that's something that happens everyday right?
Anyway, after that crazy occurrence, we went and got food and walked back up to stand outside the city hall. After meeting another little you tube band called the secrets, it was only about an hour until we could go in. It was so cold, and I was too excited to even notice.
Finally we went in, I could not believe how close we were. Getting fan pre sale tickets was like the best decision I have ever made. 3 rows from the front, we could almost touch them..
The show started at about 7.30, with a first supporting act called E of E. I was pretty surprised, They were pretty good, and my friend was going mental over the bass player, she was literally almost having a panic attack. After E of E, it was time for the second supporting act. Luke Friend. He was absolutely amazing! He sang two originals and a cover of Sam Smith stay with me. It was mind blowing.
Then finally at about 8.50, The Vamps finally came on. The opening sequence was crazy, showing you all the videos from the very beginning and then opening the show was the video of Cecilia. They all ran on and everyone screamed so loud it was so crazy! me and both my friend went mental and couldn't seem to feel like we were in reality.
They sang so many songs from their album, I can't tell you what they all were because I was too busy singing along myself and being EXTREMELY excited. They each did there own solo, and had a video about what the other member thought about them, It was so cute! They also sang the cover of Vegas Girl, which was a huge You Tube hit for them when they first started out,
Then they finished after millions of laughs and amazing tunes. Came on for the encore singing risk it all and can we dance. Confetti everywhere! It was a great end to an out of the world show. Has to be the best I've ever been too!
I'm so gutted it couldn't go on forever, but I am getting tickets for there arena tour next year, so there is a silver lining!
Here's a few pictures to show you just a glimpse of the greatest show ever!
